Six-Fours-les-Plages, April 5, 2024: Geomines announced today that it has finalized the acquisition of its competitor EOD-EX, a subsidiary of Sarp Industries (VEOLIA). With this transaction, Geomines has established itself as the benchmark player in land and underwater mine clearance in France. The transaction consolidates Geomines’ presence in France and opens up new international prospects (in the Middle East, Ukraine and Africa).

The two companies reinforce and complement each other. EOD-EX brings a territorial presence that complements that of Geomines, a dimension much sought-after by customers who wish to have teams as close as possible to their worksites. In terms of business activities, while both specialists are recognized as leading players in geophysical diagnostics and pyrotechnic decontamination operations, Geomines brings its underwater and munitions stockpile management specialties to the new entity, and rounds out its service offering with EOD-EX’s pyrotechnic industry dismantling services.

“We are delighted to have finalized the acquisition of EOD-EX, which consolidates our position as a key player in the sector.

This operation broadens our range of services and strengthens our territorial coverage in France. It will enable us to offer our customers broader solutions, while opening up new international prospects. What’s more, this expansion fits perfectly with our commitment to environmental protection, reinforcing our contribution to a sustainable future.”- Nathalie FELINES, President of Geomines.

All jobs will be maintained.
